Once you've placed your order (thank you!), I just need photos and/or descriptions of everyone you'd like me to stitch - ideally in the outfits you'd like me to include in your portrait.

Yes! Once you've ordered and sent over your reference photos, I work on a quick digital sketch. This is to show layout, character heights etc.
You can make as many changes as you like at this stage, however, once it has been approved and I start stitching, changes cannot be made.
Unfortunately not at the moment, but this is something I'm looking into.
My turnaround times vary, so it's best to contact me before ordering. As a rough guide, I say to allow around 4 weeks, however this can be longer or shorter, depending on the current number of pieces I'm working on.
The build up to Christmas is my busiest time, so I always recommend getting your orders in early.
