​Hello there...

I'm Rebecca, a proud Yorkshire lass now back in the UK, and the owner, designer, and stitcher behind Homebird Gifts.

Originally from a small seaside town in the northeast of England, I spent 12 years living in Dubai with my little family. What was meant to be a short-term adventure turned into more than a decade of life in the UAE, but we’ve recently returned to Yorkshire, where we’re excited to begin this new chapter!

Although my background is in Fashion PR & Marketing — including a role as Brand Manager for a ladies' footwear brand — my true passion has always been creativity. I studied Art before university, and now, it feels like a natural return to doing what I love most: designing and creating.

How did I jump from shoes to cross stitch I hear you ask? Well, it all started back in 2018 when a friend was getting married & I couldn't find a personal, unique gift for her and her husband - so I decided to make something.  A couple of my friends saw the portrait afterwards and encouraged me to make more. I did, and the rest, as they say, is history! ​

 

Over the last few years, I've lost count of the number of pieces I've created, but I know it's upwards of 700! Which quite frankly Blows. My.  Mind.  The fact there's so many of my little artworks dotted around the globe makes me so happy and proud to have been allowed to capture your special moments in cross stitch, to be treasured for years to come!
